Dr Afraz Ali Nigeria

Dr. Afraz Ali is a past student of Naparima College. He started his professional career as a Biochemist having achieved a First Class Honours degree from the University of the West Indies. He went on to study Medicine at Mona, Jamaica and completed his Specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University College Hospital, London. He received his Fellowship from the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Dr. Ali has a uniquely broad-based background having continued his studies in Business Administration, sub-specializing in Finance and Corporate Governance. He has been actively involved in both the Wholesale and Retail segments of the Liquid Petroleum Fuels Industry for the past 15 years.

Apart from his academia, he plays cricket and football and enjoys travelling with his family. He also participates in many social programmes in non-urban areas in Trinidad.

He is presently the Chairman of UNIPET.
